Halloween is always a fun day at Aurora and we encourage everyone to dress up and enjoy the day!
Classes as usual in the morning.
Students that dress up for the day will be entered in a draw for prizes that are sponsored by our School Council.
Please ensure that costumes are appropriate for school
Please do not send any realistic looking weapons as part of any costumes
Please be culturally sensitive
We encourage families to carve jack-o'-lanterns at home and to bring them to Aurora for a display.
The jack-o'-lanterns will be displayed in the gym at 1:00 but the pumpkins need to be in the gym by 10:30 am.
Please remember to send a battery operated candle.
Following the pumpkin lighting we will have our costume parade and a Halloween activity hosted by the Students' Union.
Following the activity, Grade 4 and 5 teachers have the option of Just Dance in the cafeteria or homeroom class parties. A haunted house will be located in Room 146 for any grade 4 and 5 students that want to go through it.
For Grades 6-8, there will be a dance in the gym. Alternative options will be a movie or the computer lab
All students are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item for Halloween. We will have a table set up for donations.
We will also have a photo booth set up in the equipment room for all students. It is $3.00 per picture.
