SCHOOL COUNCIL AND PARENT FUNDRAISING SOCIETY
An Aurora Parent Fundraising Society and the Aurora School Council will be organized in the early part of the school year and will have regular meetings throughout the year. The committee is made up of parents and staff members. The School Council will follow the guidelines and regulations established by Alberta Education. We wish to encourage parents to become a part of these parent meetings and have a voice in discussions that focus on achieving our vision.
Our Aurora Middle School Parent Council is here to help support our school and our students. We need your help and encourage you to give your support to fundraising and other school activities that require parent involvement. Our goal is to give your children a safe and fun year. Please help us by getting involved in any way you can.
What We Do:
Our goal is to give your children a safe and fun year. We hold monthly meetings where we share information about the school, the activities taking place here at the school as well as make suggestions for possible improvements. Our main goal is to support our school and our students to ensure that their experience here is a good one. We regularly get involved and help with the Aurora Leadership Spirit activities however we can. We also have a fundraising society that helps provide services and resources to the students. We need your help and encourage you to give your support to fundraising and other school activities that require parent involvement.
The Funds raised by the Fund raising Society are used to:
-provide swimming lessons to students
- provide transportation for curricular field trips
-support our fruit bin program-support athletics
-support the band program
-provide students leadership opportunities
-apply for grants for frisbee golf and outdoor basketball court and classroom
-fish on fences program
